Nathaniel's Pay it forward

Part 1
What is "Pay it Forward".

It is a act of kindness when you do something good and instead of paying you back they pay forward.

Part 2
What was your Pay It Forward act of kindness?
I donated my old clothes to the salvation army


Why did you choose this activity?
I chose this activity because I wanted to help people.

I donated clothes

What Happened?
I gave clothes to the salvation army

How did you feel?
It felt good inside

How did the person or people react?
I do not know because the store was closed and there was this lady, she told us just to drop the bags 

Did you ask the person or people to "Pay It Forward"?
No I did not ask because the store was closed


How did they react to your request?
She was pretty happy

If you did not ask the person to "Pay It Forward" how come?
Because  the store was closed


Part 4
Why is the idea of "Pay it Forward" important?
Because if you do a act of kindness, a lot of people will do the same thing


Has your act of kindness made a difference?
I think it did because I did something good in our community

Nathaniel's Proportion Post

Part One

Ratio- pair of numbers that compares different type of units.
Rate- Compares two quantities measured in different units.
Proportion- the equation that shows two ratios that are equal.

Part two

  1. 5 hours to travel 360 kilometers is about _____km/h.
  2. Answer: 60 x 5 is 300 300/360= 60 min/72 km
  3. Emma saves 28 cents of every dollar that she earns.  Emma earned $75 last week.  How much money did Emma save last week?
  4. Answer 28 cents  x 100 =2800/75 is 37.3 cents

Part 3
What are the three ways you can prove that equivalent ratio statements are true?
3/4 = 12/16  or 4/9 = 16/32 

1)cross multiplycation
2)3 x 4 is 12 and 4 x 4 is 16
3)4/9 is not equivilant

  2. No. But at least in jail they have shelter, food,  clothes, and water

  6. I wouldn't want to go to jail but if I was homeless and I had nothing. I would go to jail myself
