Part 1
Ratio - The quantitative relation between two amounts showing the number of times one value contains or is contained within the other.
Can be written as:
Rate - Compares two quantities measured in two different units.
Example: 1000000 km/ second
Proportion - A part, share, or number considered in comparative relation to a whole.
Part 2
1. 5 hours to travel 360 kilometres is about 6 km/h. 1. 300 mins/360 km = 60 mins/ 72 km
360 ÷ 60 = 6
6 km/h
2. Emma saves 28 cents of every dollar that she earns. Emma earned $75 last week. How much money did Emma save last week? 2. 28 cents/ 100 cents = 268 cents/ 7500 cents.
0.28 x 75 = 21
What are the three ways you can prove that equivalent ratio statements are true?
3/4 = 12/16 or 4/9 = 16/32
0.28 x 75 = 21
$21
Part 3
What are the three ways you can prove that equivalent ratio statements are true?
3/4 = 12/16 or 4/9 = 16/32

Part 5:
1. This does NOT seem fair.
2. The ex CEO stole 3 billion dollars and is sent to prison for only 40 months, while the homeless man only stole $100 and sent to prison for 15 years, which is pretty darn long considering the circumstances.
3. This, for me, is unacceptable. A homeless man robbed a bank, only trying to get $100 to stay at the detox centre and got arrested and got sentenced to jail for 15 years. And the CEO only got 40 months for stealing $3 billion.
4. OK, I know stealing is wrong, but come on, the circumstances made the verdict unfair. If I were the judge I would make a more fair and just verdict to both the CEO and the homeless man.
