Arizza's Scribe Post

Today at math, we were working on Intergers, solving them with number lines.

  • Question #1)

(-29) - (-74) =
- To solve this, you re-write (-29) but change the subtract sign, to + and change (-74) to (+74)
- If you come up on a question that's 2nd integer, is a positive, change it into a negitive:
Example: (+45) - (+10) = (+45) + (-10) = +35

Your question should now look like this:  (-29) - (-74) = (-29) + (+74)  = +45
Also! The blue boxes are Zero Pair's.

  • Question #2)
(-61) - (-29) = (-61) + (+29) = -32

  • Question #3)
(-58) - (-33) = (-58) + (+33) = -25

And if you're still having some trouble with Integers, solving with a number line, here's a
video that might help you! ↓↓↓

That's everything guys, have a great night! :)

  1. Good job arizza I like how you put everything bigger and showed the zero pairs on the number line l like the video you posted and how you put it in standard form but maybe next time you could add a link

  3. Good job Arizza! I liked how you showed the zero pairs on your pictures! Next time when you get the answer to the question you should also show the little tick with the answer on the bottom of it on your number line! Other than that, good job!
