Pay It forward is the concept of doing a kind deed or a random act of kindness for someone and expecting nothing in return but for them to also "Pay It Forward" to another 3 people and then those people will "Pay It Forward" to another 3 people each and you soon, you will see that there will be a lot of acts of kindness that just started with ONE person, It's kind of like a virus but a good one, a kind of virus that gets everyone to do good things for people that might not be as lucky as you are, or just a random act of kindness that could make someone's day.
Part 2:
What was your Pay It Forward act of kindness?
I did a couple of acts of kindness actually, one of them was giving out dad cookies with notes saying " Enjoy the cookie! Have an amazing day! Pay it forward! -spsflames,the second thing wass putting notes on people's windshield, the third thing was donating money to Salvation Army, the fourth thing was giving a box of cookies, dad cookies with a thank you note to the fire fighters and the last thing was to donating hats and mitts to Koats for Kids!
Why did you choose this activity?
I chose this act of kindness activity because I wanted to make someone's day or make someone smile because making other people smile make me smile also! I also wanted to thank the fire fighters because they already risk their lives trying to save ours so Gem and I decided to Pay It Forward to them too! I also wanted to donate to Salvation army because they find food and clothing for children and families, offer shelter for people who don't have a home and rehabilitation for people who are trying to get their life back on track from bad addictions and we donated to Koats for Kids because they help children find jackets, mitts, hats and winter needs for children who don't have them! and in Winterpeg you definitely need all of those!
Who did you help? The cookies didn't really help someone, but it made someone smile! When we donated to Salvation Army though, We helped those people who have a hard time getting clothes, food and shelter. We need those basic things to live and I'm glad Salvation Army tries to help people find those! We also helped children have new mitts and hats by donating for Koats for Kids!
When did you do you act of kindness?
I did this act of kindness on December 1st at Polo Park Shopping Mall around 12 - 2, and at The Fire and Paramedic Service on Sargent Ave around 3.

How did your act of kindness go?
I think my act of kindness went very well! It was a successful day and we made a difference in somebody's life!
What Happened?
Well, alot happend! The first thing we did was go to Polo Park, Gem and I then started going up to strangers and we told them that "we are doing a project called Pay it Forward and as our act of kindness, we are giving out free cookies! would you like one?". After that we went outside to the parking lot and started putting notes on people's wind shield and the last thing we did was go to the Fire Paramedic Service on Sargent ave. to give the firefighters cookies and a letter! We also donated out Koats for Kids things there.
How did you feel?
At first I felt a little nervous and shy to go up to people but then I stopped feeling that way and started to feel proud and excited instead!
How did the person or people react?
People reacted kind of confused at first but then they were thankful that we gave them those cookies after and we didn't really get to see people's reactions when we gave the notes on the cars but I'm sure they were thankful too and The firefighter captain was also thankful for all the things we gave them and the stuff the donated.
Did you ask the person or people to "Pay It Forward"?
Yes! I did ask the person to "Pay It Forward!"
How did they react to your request?
After we asked them to "Pay It Forward" they said that they were going to try to remember to Pay It forward to another person sometime in the day or week and I think they were pretty amazed that we did that act of kindness!

Why is the idea of "Pay it Forward" important?
The idea of "Pay It Forward" is important because it teaches young people like me, or adults also to not be selfish. It doesn't have to make a BIG difference,it can just be a little thing! Like what I did. Simple but yet it makes little difference in somebody's life. Starting their day out with a smile on their face or you can just donate and little thing like an old shirt you don't wear anymore or help other people find food, shelter and clothing!
Has your act of kindness made a difference?
My act of kindness made a little difference in those people lives that we handed cookies out to, my act of kindness also made a difference to those people who will be getting food, shelter or clothing from the money we donated to Salvation Army and last, we made a difference in those children that will receive the hats and mitts we bought!
Today is class we learned about multiplying fractions, I did the first half of questions and Mae did the second half. Well here are some of the questions

In order to solve this question you will need to follow the steps..
Step 1: Use the "elevator" method, which is using reciprocals, If you don't know what that is, here's a website that will explain what they are.
Step 2: You multiply the second fraction to make one, to do that you need to use reciprocals. Step 3: Whatever you multiply to the bottom you also have to do to the top!
Step 4: You then multiply those numbers and you should be able to get your answer.
Step 5: You also can estimate if your answer is going to be greater than 1 or less than 1. If your top fraction is greater than yourbottom fraction then your answer if going to be greater than 1, but if your bottom fraction is greater than your top fraction then it's probably less than one.
For this question you repeat the same steps as above BUT there's one more step to this.
The extra step is to change the mixed number into a improper fraction.

Words can't describe how my day went on October 30th 2012. When I think back on this day, the only words that come to mind are amazing, mind blowing and it just impacted me on how I felt about whats happening in the world. As I woke up that morning I knew this was going to be an amazing and fun day! As I got to school and got on the transit bus to go to the MTS Centre it hit me that I was actually going to take apart of We Day. When I got there my feelings filled up with excitement! When we got there we put down our stuff and went out to buy our We Day t-shirts, we also got a picture with much music television host Phoebe and Scott! They were very nice and I also got a signed picture of her! After walking around some more a company called Sliver jeans co. was giving out these "pencil cases" made out of denim! it was really cool! We then ran out of time to look around and had to go back to our seats! and now my experience begins.
When we got down on our seats I looked around and saw all 18,000 students who wanted to make a difference, It made me feel like our generation can be the difference makers, just like the some of the speakers said! Some of the speakers that were there are Mikhail Gorbachev, Sam Kates, Justice Sinclair and the most inspirational speakers like, Hannah Taylor who made her own foundation at the age of 8 called The Ladybug Foundation, Spencer West who is the most amazing person ever that will do anything that he wants even with no lower body, HE redefines possible and my favorite speaker of the whole day was Molly Burke. She impacted me the most with her story, it almost made me burst into tears, if you didn't know her story it was about about bullying, she got bullied at the age of 14. She was the "outcast" and everyone made fun of her for standing up for what she believed in. Well one day the "popular" people asked her if she wanted to hang out with them, she knew they were bullies but she was desperate to have "friends", they took her into the forest and did I tell you she was on crutches because had a broken ankle? well, when they went into the forest they told her to sit down and they took her crutches and smashed them into the trees and then left her in the forest alone, I forgot to tell you one more thing, when she started talking, we took a moment of silence and the lights dimmed down, she then down us that, she. was. blind. She couldn't see all the 18,000 students and teachers that were there right in front of her, nor did she see who bullied her but that's what made her what she is today. She stands up for those who don't have the rights to speak. That's why we should take apart of a day where we don't speak at ALL. That day is called Vow Of Silence. There are also many other campaigns that we can take part of!
Not only were there speakers but also performers!!! like Tyler Shaw (The winner of a Much Music Contest), Justin Nozuka and Lights who were Juno Award Winners, Jesse Giddings a television host on muchmusic, and I'm sure you heard of AllStar Weekend, Shawn Desman and Victoria Duffiled! I loved all the performances but my favorite one had to be Victoria Duffield! She was amazing and I love her songs! There was also this amazing poetic circus performer named One Drop! while she was dancing our "RBC bank drop necklace lighted up! it was so cool to see the whole MTS Centre lit up with those necklaces.
Near the end Marc and Craig Keliburger were talking, If you didn't know who they were they were the ones who invented We Day. They told us about the "laws". The three laws were The Law of Few, The Law of Will and The Law of WE. I learned that if WE work together anything is possible and if we stand together side by side we can accomplish what we want to see in the world. He also told us about people in the past who made a difference, like Nellie Mclung who said "Never Retreat, Never Explain, Never Apologize.
She stood up for Women's Rights and thanks to her, women can vote and it showed that it doesn't matter what gender you are, if you want to do it, just set your mind to it!
Overall I had an AMAZING day, and especially cause I got to spend this experience with some of my bestfriends! I wish I could go again next year, maybe I could sneak in! justkidding! I hope that when I'm 16 I could volenteer to help We Day. I hope my experience would help influence you to help make a difference also!

1.Does this seem fair?I don't think this seems fair at all.
2.With what you know aboutproportionlook and read what is in the image above. Does it seem just and fair?No it does not because the man who stole $100 but returned it is spending 15 years and the man who stole 3 billion is spending time in jail for only 3 years and 4 months.
3.Why have you made this choice?I have made this choice because the CEO stole 3 billion dollars but only got sentenced to jail for 40 months which is 3 years and 4 months. The homeless man only stole $100 dollars but got sentenced to 180 months which is 15 years. I think he got sentenced longer just because he's homeless and is not in the higher class like the CEO which is unfair cause the homeless man returned the money but the CEO did not.
4.What would you have done if you were the judge? I would of let the homeless man go, or atleast sentence him for just 1 month, but on the bright side, he now has a place to sleep and have food to eat. I also think that the CEO should be sentenced to 15 years in jail not the homeless man.
Question: What is the height of this traffic box?
Answer: The first thing I did was measure that little box on the right that says ``79-N205`` with my ruler. I measured it and got half of a cm. I then measured the height of the box and got the height of 12.5. So I went 0.5x12.5 and got 6.25. So the traffic box must be 6.25ft tall??
