I apologize if you can't see the pictures.

What we learned today
Getting the common denominator to draw a diagram for dividing fractions.

Homework questions:
2.Mike carried out division 3/4 divided by 2/3 as follows.
3/4 divided by 2/3 = 4/3 x 2/3= 8/9

5.Answer each fraction using a diagram.

7.Answer each fraction by getting the denominator

Here's a video that might help you on dividing fractions with common denominator.

My Test Corrections

My first mistake was on the top section. It was this question:
In computer terminology, a bit is 1/8 of a byte. How many bits equal 16 bytes?
I did this solution:
16/1 x 1/8 = 16/8 or 2
The solution and answer was wrong it's supposed to be:
16/1 divided by 1/8 = 16/1 x 8/1= 128 bits.

My second mistake was:
1 1/2 divided by 2/3
This is what I did:
1 1/2 divided by 2/3= 3/2 x 3/2= 9/2 or 4 1/2
I didn't multiply the denominator 2.
This the correct solution:
1 1/2 divided by 2/3= 3/2 x 3/2 = 9/4 or 2 1/4

My last mistake was in the bottom part.
My question was wrong in the third picture:
I wrote share 1/4 into 1/3 equal groups.
It's supposed to be: How many groups of 1/3 goes into 1/4.

  1. Good job Carlo. I liked how you explained it well and also on how you found a video. Maybe next time you should add a link and maybe make your pictures a bit easier for us to see. Overall you did a good job!

  2. Good job! I liked how you explained it enough for me to understand. Good video too! I kind of struggled seeing the pictyres clearly, but other than that, good job.
